Reiki healing has been around for thousands of years. It is commonly referred to as palm healing or hands-on healing. Its current form was first developed during 1922 by a Japanese Buddhist called Mikao Usui, who reportedly taught 2,000 people, the Reiki method, during his lifetime. The practice spread to the U.S. through Hawaii in the 1940s, and then to Europe in the 1980s. But after his death, one of his students — a lady named Mrs. Hawayo Takata — took over as president of the school.
Mrs. Hawayo Takata wanted to train people to become master Reiki healers. They were charged with keeping the tradition alive. But it actually did not happen this way. A few leading teachers CHANGED the way they taught Reiki.
So, over the years, the original aims and trainings of Reiki have been LOST, MUDDIED and OBSCURED by all those changes.
Focusing on charging a lot of money and altering the original training … forced the original teachings of Reiki to get lost with time. Once the original teachings of the founder, Mikao Usui is followed and original teachings are practiced, applying the original techniques gives miraculous and staggering results. At the same time, these techniques are easy, simple and fast.
No matter, what’s your age. Reiki is beneficial for all age groups.
